Transformer Painting Process
Corrosion Protection · 3-Coat System · ISO 12944 Compliance
At Datsan Transformer, we apply a systematic surface treatment and painting process to every tank and cover. This ensures long-term corrosion resistance, mechanical durability, and aesthetic consistency. Our standard painting system consists of three layers applied after rigorous mechanical and chemical surface preparation, in full compliance with SS-EN ISO 12944 standards.
Surface Preparation & Painting Steps
Mechanical Treatment
Shot blasting / grit blasting to achieve Sa 2½ cleanliness level, removing mill scale, rust, and contaminants.
Chemical Cleaning
Degreasing and chemical cleaning to remove oil, grease, and residues, ensuring optimal adhesion for primer coats.
3-Coat Application
Primer → Intermediate → Topcoat. Applied via airless spray in controlled environment for uniform thickness.
