Peak Efficiency Index (PEI) Requirements

Requirements applicable to liquid-immersed medium power transformers with rated power greater than 3150 kVA, according to minimum Peak Efficiency Index (PEI) values defined for Ecodesign Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Note: The Peak Efficiency Index (PEI) represents the minimum required efficiency level for medium power liquid-immersed transformers according to Ecodesign regulations. Final efficiency values depend on transformer design, losses, cooling method and operating conditions and are confirmed during quotation and testing.
